EARLY 20TH C GERMAN VINT LITHO'D ENML TIN WIND-UP STEAMER BOAT, WithHEAVING MOTION

  

Early 20th century, pre-WWII Ge rm an lithographed tin enamel wind-up toy boats & other vehicles. 9 ½" Length x 2 ½" Height x 2 ½ Depth. The stern and bow have brass fenders and the top single smokestack is also comprised of bent brass sheeting. The surface oxidation that occurs on the tin toy is mostly found on the brass surfaces.

The rest of the tin surfaces are largely free of oxidation, less some slight, minor pitting. The finger turn wheel is toothed and made of solid brass, whereas the brass electroplated smokestack, front and rear protective fenders are hollow. A great early Ge rm an tin mechanical toy.
