Vintage General Quick-aid Fire Extinguisher Chris-craft 1954-1958

  

This is an empty vintage brass 1 qt. Fire extinguisher made by the General Detroit Corp. And it is the Quick-Aid model. It has been polished and lacquered and displays very well.

It is about 13" long and 2 1/2" in diameter and comes with it's mounting bracket which has a new coat of paint. It has a very small ding just below the label and a scratch on the backside but they are hard to see in the pictures.

The pump handle moves in and out as designed and the T pump handle has a new coat of brass tone paint as when new. The former web site vintagefe stated that from 1937 to 1960 General fire extinguishers were featured in Chris-Craft accessory catalogs. This would be the correct extinguisher for a 1954 -1958 Chris-Craft. This would make a great addition to a vintage wood boat that needs that extra something at your next boat show.
