Vintage antique 1940 Mercury Kiekhaefer K3 Deluxe Carls first outboard

  

Here's a rare 1940 Mercury Kiekhaefer K3 Deluxe outboard with chrome tank. Here's what I did with this one. I cleaned and painted the leg and foot polished the prop and found a tiny crack in it. I took the tank and cowls off polished and painted and cleaned. The motor displays very well.

The tank has a few dents in it. I did add new decals and rubber grip. The choke lever was missing so I made one it works ok. The motor should run, it does have spark also the power head has been replaced with new gaskets. When that was done don't have a clue.

It pulls thru very well. The stand is not included. Thanks for looking the Merckid.
