This listing includes: 1941 Mercury/Kiekhaefer KB-1A, 2.9 HP Outboard Motor Vintage Collectible Restore Project This unit is the EXACT unit shown in the images provided with this listing and will arrive in the EXACT condition as shown in the images provided with this listing and described in this listing. I have tried to clean it up but I don't think I have the neccessary chemicals to clean this properly. I can however point out that the spark plug wire will probably need replaced as it is simply just to loose and does not snap onto the spark plug the way it should. I have added 12 images to this listing of this unit from very close up to images of both sides of the motor in whole. Also I can tell you that the big round piece at the top of motor when turned around will turn the motor blade at the bottom with ease so I don't believe anything is locked up in the motor from there to the bottom. The clamp that connects this unit to the boat seems to have some rusting but the bolt spins freely clockwise and counterclockwise as it should so the unit could still be mounted to a boat with no issues.

Also the little research I could do or find on this motor shows an entirely different gas tank that is NOT present on this one being listed however it also appears that some designed a new one for this and at some point welded it to the boat motor making it a usable gas tank with this unit. I tested the strength of all the bolts on this unit that I could reach and they all feel to be tight. PLEASE VIEW THE IMAGES CLEARLY AND THOROUGHLY as these images are of the EXACT boat motor that you will receive.
