Wouldn't it be fun to surprise your kids, or grandkids, with this darling little houseboat set as they get ready to change their schedule for school and think about summer all year round! This is a Vintage Fisher Price Play Family Happy Houseboat #985. This is quite the set! The main piece is a blue, green and white plastic house boat on wheels. There is an upper deck where the captain seat and steering wheel reside, a middle deck where the dining area is located and walkways all around the sides. The top of the upper deck lifts up to reveal the inner dining area and makes it easy access for children's imaginary play. There is a jaunty yellow flag on a spring on the bridge and a cute little red diving board that pulls out from the back of the bridge as well. There is a paper lithograph nautical design FP on both sides of the bridge and a Fisher Price Happy Houseboat on the back. There is also paper lithograph imagery of the dash board and nautical instruments near the steering wheel.

Many other parts are included (although not all the original pieces that came with the set). Houseboat on wheels with a newly added pull cord. Small run-about dinghy that attaches to the brackets on the back of the boat.

It also has a newly added pull cord. 2 Red chairs and 1 small brown table. 2 Yellow Chaise Lounge chairs. 5 Little People - 4 plastic and one wood base. This houseboat set has been well-loved and has so much play left in it still. This fun, retro piece displays really well and would be okay if it was played with as it no longer in mint condition or it would be so precious to have in your kids playroom to play with. The most noticeable age related issues are some fading and slight tears in the edges of the lithograph papers and some age staining and cracks of the plastic on the prow of the boat. It could use a gentle cleaning. It rolls very smoothly and makes a clicking sound when doing so.
